CARTIER CONSULT - Nepal Road Sector Assessment Study

This site provides information and documents regarding the Road Sector Assessment Study that was carried out in Nepal. This study aims to assess the current situation in the road sector, identify the main issues and come up with an action plan to address these issues. The study has been initiated by the World Bank and is being carried out with support from the World Bank (WB), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Department for International Development (DFID) and the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC). The study has been carried out in close collaboration with the Government of Nepal (GON) through the Ministry of Physical Planning and Works (MPPW) and its Department of Roads (DOR), and the Ministry of Local Development (MLD) and its Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads (DOLIDAR). A final draft report has been prepared together with its corresponding annexes that contain the detailed notes for each of the topics listed below. These detailed  notes have been prepared for both the Local Road Network (LRN) and the Strategic Road Network (SRN) and were presented to and discussed with Government and development partners.
